First, im not in support or against gay sex. but im a strong supporter of human rights, right to choose. as long as our decision doesn’t impact another human or any living being in a bad way, i believe we can choose or decide what is good for us. and some of us made that decision and choose their partner of same gender. and this should be respected. some of us are denying them their right by showing society as a means. and saying its not good for society or damage our culture. in my opinion society is made of people which includes same sex couples and culture is more specific to a person’s believe and people are free to believe what they feel good. no one is pushing non gay people to practise gay forms.
its very funny to see some of us filing petitions against Delhi high court verdict on legalising gay sex. not sure what they mean by society or culture.
Tip’o to Mr.Suresh Kumar Kaushal, quoting his statement “Even animals don’t indulge in such activities“, Mr.Suresh Kumar Kaushal unless your blind please check a post i added on “Gay Birds“.
Its been a while since i added up any new posts, but i couldn’t resist to share my experience of exploring a new Java framework called Click supported by ASF(Apache Software Foundation) . This one is quite exiting for me as i was looking for a good UI framework for a new conceptual portal im developing(more details about this later…). I always liked coding UI in UI specific language either using extensions provided by frameworks or generic UI coding like HTML. and Click appears to suit my requirements far better than any other UI framework available. Click is still incubator at Apache but the final Release is expected sometime in August. Will be coding more using this in coming days and i would suggest any Java programmer landed on this page to go see it once. Code Strong!
Can you imagine, if the beautiful garden you have planted is dying all of sudden, the pain would be enormous that only those who experienced can understand it. Mass raping, a dirty and brutal tactic used in some of those war ravaged countries like Liberia, Sudan, and the Congo. Where mass raping of children is common. According to a survey 75% of women in these countries are raped. A true story is written in this disturbing NYT article, what if the more developed and secured countries are not safe too where there is no guaranty for safety of a women a such story is here
These incidents may not happened in our city or country but it is our responsibility to condemn these acts. The Silence is the Enemy, is a campaign started by Sheril Kirshenbaum , an effort to raise awareness about this appalling situation. Please use whatever ways available to create awareness on this global problem.
This blog is a long due and i want to complete it today. a while ago when i was reading the blog “culture matters” i came across an excellent post on accountability here is a part of that post got my interest
How much power are you willing to yield to others? How much voice are you willing to give to others, which – very probably – will challenge your work?
here im not gonna talk about what was said in that blog, you can read it from there, but what i want to talk about is that question raised above. many of us almost certainly all of us at some stage in life, doesn’t really care to listen what the other person is felling about a particular event. we always want to fill the void with an abstract which we think best suits to the situation. many of us we were children, didn’t get a change to raise our voice. we had dreams and opinions but they never mattered to many of out parents they always select something they think best for us. and most probably my of us are gonna do the same to our children. and this will most probably kill the power reasoning in them they will lack the critical thinking that human beings posses. then the question arises who are we?. its very important we give voice to our fellow human beings regardless their position or race or gender.
Folks you must see this post. this one lists some of the famous blogs by blog categories. we should thank Tiffany Davis for posting such an interesting post. out of all im was most impressed with the section on Astrology and specifically one blog Bad Astronomy. and im in debt to you “Tiffany Davis”. thank you.
Maria Amelia Lopez known to be the oldest blogger in the world passed away last week at 97. “Maria, we will miss you. and we keep going with your memories and inspiration you left to the bloggin world”.
here is the news quote from yahoo
Lopez started blogging in 2006 after her grandson — “who is very stingy,” she wrote — created the site as a present for her 95th birthday.
The blog went on to attract a huge following, with more than 1.7 million hits, as Lopez shared her thoughts on everything from life in Spain under the dictatorship of Gen. Francisco Franco to the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq, which she criticized.
Lopez said discovering the Internet and communicating with people all over the world changed her life, and she urged elderly people everywhere to get wired.
“It took 20 years off my life,” Lopez wrote. “My bloggers are the joy of my life. I did not know there was so much goodness in the world.”
Its been a while i added a new post here, funny thing is, lately i was thinking that why would people say they didn’t find enough time to blog. i use to tell my self ‘this is not fair’ when ever i didn’t find a post in some of my favourite bloggers blog. but now after nearly two weeks of heavy work(week ends are exceptional) i have come to realise that its really tough to manage time.
I’ve come to know yesterday that gay is not an alien term in animal kingdom, as your about to read some examples of such behaviour shortly. this is certainly very interesting so planned to share these details with my readers. im goanna post some of the text i collected from the web and actually links will be provided for those who are intrested to read more about this…
I hard this for the first time when i was reading a blog from Greg Laden before going to bed(yeah i have this habit of reading blogs before going to bed). Here is one of the interesting parts from his blog..
Here’s the story:
LONDON (AFP) – A pair of gay flamingos have adopted an abandoned chick, becoming parents after being together for six years, a British conservation organisation said Monday.
Carlos and Fernando had been desperate to start a family, even chasing other flamingos from their nests to take over their eggs at the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust (WWT) in Slimbridge near Bristol.
But their egg-sitting prowess made them the top choice for taking an unhatched egg under their wings when one of the Greater Flamingo nests was abandoned.
The couple, together for six years, can feed chicks by producing milk in their throats.
Fernando and Carlos are a same sex couple who have been known to steal other flamingos’ eggs by chasing them off their nest because they wanted to rear them themselves,” said WWT spokeswoman Jane Waghorn.
“They were rather good at sitting on eggs and hatching them so last week, when a nest was abandoned, it seemed like a good idea to make them surrogate parents.”
Gay flamingos are not uncommon, she added.
“If there aren’t enough females or they don’t hit it off with them, they will pair off with other males,” she said.
Saw the movie Curious case of benjamin button yesterday, wow its a real good movie.
Observe the silence when time passes by,
Observe the silence when a star falls out of the sky,
Observe the silence after the noise,
Observe as long as you could,
Before the noise breaks the silence,
Before the cycle starts all over again.
Let’s begin this with a tiny story, A friend of myne who had a small firm selling a kind of product which is meant for a group of unique organizations. One day he said to me “We should hire people to sell this product”. I said “That’s a good idea lets hire some” thinking that we will get people with expertise in selling such products or familiar with the kind of work. Instead he hired few people who neither are having knowledge about the field nor experienced. So I asked him “How do these guys sell our product without knowing how to approach a client to present what we have” and the reply I received was “They are sales persons it’s their job to do. As we did the first part of hiring them, they will sell the product. Its dam simple”. Well, I left wondering it would happen magically.
Let’s come to the running story happening around us, big banks and financial institutions started investing money in providing mortgage to people who wanted to buy a house. Sadly, they thought the same as the guy I have said above thinking “by providing mortgage to buy a home would give them profits because it’s a profitable business” without using their common scene of knowledge that weather people really need this loan or were they in a situation to pay it back with those huge interests. Nope, nothing like that happened. They assumed that economy is booming like never before and keeping aside the basic rules of lending won’t be a problem. In my opinion, they forget the fact that the revenues they earned on home loan in the past are those which validates the basic rule of lending not the otherwise.
Now let’s see what our think tanks are planning on recovery, rise the taxation to 50% (could be more) on basic earnings. Wow, what a break through, I’m goanna die with tears of joy, let’s not forget about the basic things again, I always believed that under such crisis floating money around the business cycle would do better than stocking it (a.k.a savings for future). Let’s take it like this, what actually would make people to spend? Let’s say need! So what kind of need could trigger spending? I believe, ability to save more.
Confusing right, let me explain, if governments put taxation on savings rather than income will trigger people to spend or save the money in a different form which could offer an opportunity to save more on certain spending like buying a home (I know buying a home sounds freaking but it’s an option too) or the kind of spending that could trigger more demand which will create more jobs and social wealth. It’s a win-win for everybody.
Finally, what Im trying to say is, governments should include the people in dealing the crisis and on how to repair the system, more importantly restoring the confidence. Not just limited to bailing out business without considering customers of those business.
